Supply chain

Supply chain

It refers to the entire network and system of companies, people, technology and resources involved in the production, management and distribution of a specific product from the supplier to the final customer. The whole process includes multiple companies, manufacturers and retailers.

Depending on the type of product or service and the sequence of steps in the supply chain process, businesses may work under one of the following structures:

1.Pipelined structure: involves mass-production stages.
2.Late customization: standard initial production stage, followed by customization.
3.Divergent structure: customization from the start and manufactures.
4.Convergent structure: operations to make the final product.
