A simple way to remember when to use ‘in’ and ‘on’ with dates

RRHH Digital Do you get all mixed up with the prepositions ‘in’ and ‘on’ when expressing dates?

Here you have a simple way to remember them.

Think of a pyramid.  First the days of the week with IN. Then the months with ON, and at last the specific date and the month with ON.

For example:

•     On Monday
•     In February
•     On the 13th of February

Can you see the pyramid?

• On- Days
• In- Months
• On -Date and Months

•     It’s on Friday.
•     In September.
•     On the 1st of September.

The shortest and the longest are always ON and, in between, we place ‘IN’ with the months.
