RRHH Digital It refers to the habitual nonattendance of an employee at his or her job without a valid reason. Some causes may include evasion of work, willful absence, job dissatisfaction, constant personal issues and medical problems –it does not include involuntary or sporadic absence-.

Regardless of cause, an employee with patterns of being absent may put his reputation and his working status at risk. Moreover, it is costly to employers; it negatively impacts productivity and stresses employees who do show up at work.
