Self-employment

Self-employment

RRHH Digital A self-employed person is an independent contractor who owns and operates a business as a unique proprietor or boss, instead of working for an employer that pays a wage. Self-employment is a situation in which the person earns his/her income through conducting profitable operations from a business.  There are often many taxation-related regulations for being self-employed versus being an employee or a business owner.

People considering leaving their jobs and starting their own business, should take into account the following aspects:
-A self-employed person is entirely responsible for the success of the business and has to generate business to earn money.
-Running a successful business requires dedication. If operating business from home, it’s important to balance and separate personal issues from work issues.

-A self-employed person makes the decisions for his/her business: location, timetable, days off, etc.
-Being self-employed presents the opportunity to earn more money while working less hours.
