Unemployment compensation

RRHH Digital Also called unemployment benefit andrefers to a compensation paid, by the government/state, at regular intervals to someone who is unemployed or to individuals who involuntarily have lost their jobs –it does not include those who leave work voluntarily-. Unemployment compensation is meant to provide a source of income for jobless workers until they find a new job. This benefit is paid according to formulas, and individuals in this condition may meet certain requirements in order to receive the money for a fixed period of time.

To pay for this compensation, companies are required to pay an unemployment tax depending on the wages paid to the employees and the type of industry.
