HR outsourcing, also known as HRO, is the process of sub-contracting human resources functions to an external supplier. HR activities are one of the many activities and departments that are popularly outsourced. The external HR provider undertakes some -or all- of the issues related to employee managing and administering, including: recruitment and hiring, employee compensations, benefits, training and development and evaluations.
