Outsourcing

Outsourcing

Outsourcing is any task, operation, job or process that is contracted to a third party for a significant period of time and can be performed on-site or off-site, instead of being performed by employees within an organization. Outsourcing a particular function of the business can be an effective cost and time-saving strategy if used properly.

A company may choose to outsource a particular function in order to reduce expenses   -saving in equipment and labor costs-, leverage benefits and improve quality. Outsourcing also provides the ability to concentrate on the core business; the largest risks may be related to quality and control.

Professional outsourcing services include many areas: accounting, purchasing, IT support, Human Resources administration, Marketing and other specialized services. Other types of outsourcing services are: manufacturing, process-specific and operational.
