Effective negotiation

Constructive interaction and effective communication are crucial in the negotiation process. Being prepared and thoroughly familiar with the subject of the negotiation is equally essential in order to achieve the best deal possible. Active listening and body language also keep the essentials of the debate showing interest in what the other person is saying.

Furthermore, many negotiators develop patterns and certain styles of negotiating. Reflecting on your opponent’s style can be very helpful when deciding how to conduct the discussion.
